Spirituality at Work On-Line presents:

Working from Love:
A Six-Week Virtual Conversation

Mother Teresa insisted, "The kind of work you do isn't important. Whatever you do, do it with love." But what could it mean in our own intense, high tech work environments to do our jobs “with love?” Join in this global conversation with others seeking to connect what they do with who they are and what they most value.

Start date:

Monday, March 4th

Topics:

Loving our work:
What does "love of work" look like/feel like? Is loving our work the same as working from love? What if I don’t love my work?
Loving ourselves at work:
How do we maintain a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal needs? Can work be part of loving ourselves?
Loving our "neighbors" at work:
How do we handle workplace relationships? Is there a place for compassion at work?

Format:

Experience – Reflection – Action -- Transformation

Using a private message board as the platform, conversation participants will reflect on each topic over a two-week period. A brief introduction and questions will focus the theme and invite comments based on personal experience. Our own experience will be informed by short readings with another set of questions moving us into deeper reflection. Since the conversation is meant to be transformative as well as informative, participants will be urged to choose and experiment with concrete action steps to deepen their experience of working from love.

Fee:

$40 for the full six-week session
